Five injured in grenade attack in Peshawar
At least five persons, including a police official, were injured when some unidentified miscreants hurled a hand grenade at a police vehicle in Sarband area of Peshawar on Thursday. According to SSP Operations Tahir Ayub, a police mobile van was on routine patrol when it was targeted by some unidentified militants that injured five persons, including a policeman. Heavy contingent of police and rescue workers rushed to the area and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital where two of them were stated to be in critical condition.Law enforcement agencies, including police, cordoned off the entire area after the attack and started a search operation for hunting the miscreants. However, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
